What’s New at TWC
Oh hello friends! We've been hinting for awhile that some changes were coming to The White Curl and after making sure all of our ducks were in a row (there were several dozen ducks) we are finally ready to share some exciting news!
First, when we say changes we don't mean we are moving away from the sale of fanmade merch. We are working behind the scenes on revamping our store and adding all of the wonderful art in waiting while also working out a way that we can more easily manage it. So stay tuned on that.
Changes mean... growth. Expansion. Trying new things. We are eager to take our fundraising and partnerships into different spaces while still holding true to the core of what TWC stands for.
With all of that said, we have been hard at work on TWO very different fundraising opportunities that we couldn't be more excited about. These campaigns signify the end of a long planning season and the beginning of something very, very exciting for us. The biggest change? These campaigns will feature new ways of raising money that we've never done here before!
First up, in partnership with Michael Sheen, we are working on a truly one of a kind campaign that will launch later this summer. We know not everyone can make it back to traveling and live theatre yet so we are bringing a piece of London and theatre life to everyone with the unique visions of TWC and Michael behind it. This is vague for now but as we always do, we will share more information as we get closer to a launch date.
This will be unlike anything we’ve ever done before as this will be our first venture together that won't involve drawings on merch! However, save your money for this one, there won’t be another like it! We are still working out the logistics of a launch date but we’re aiming for August. As soon as we have a more firm date it will be shared widely. Like everything we do here at TWC, all the money you give goes to the charity that will be chosen.
We shared this on Twitter but in case you missed it... we have partnered with the incredible people at The Ineffable Con to put together a fundraising event that will perfectly compliment all of the fun, creativity, and community of TIC3! This partnership feels like a long time coming and no one is more excited for this to finally be a reality than we are! We aren't ready to talk about the timing of the event yet but while we have you...don't forget to get signed up for TIC3 now!
